LOS ANGELES (October 28, 2025) – The Greater Los Angeles Softball Association (GLASA) today announced registration is open for the 19th annual Sin City Classic Sports Festival Presented by Lexus.
To be hosted in Las Vegas from January 15 – 19, 2026, this year’s festival welcomes the return of swimming, diving, and billiards for a total of 24 sports. Each year, 10,000 LGBTQ+ athletes, allies, and fans converge on the Flamingo Las Vegas for a weekend of competition, camaraderie, and community at the world’s largest LGBTQ+ sporting event. Teams looking to participate can register now at the Sin City Classic website found here.
“In a tumultuous environment, our goal is to provide a safe and inclusive outlet for LGBTQ+ people to come together over sport,” said Sin City Classic Co-Executive Director Dr. Jason Peplinski. “At the Sin City Classic, everyone is welcome to participate in whichever way they like and are welcome as part of our community.”
This year’s full list of sports includes: Basketball, Billiards, Bowling, Bridge, Cheerleading, Cornhole, Darts – Soft Tip, Darts – Steel Tip, Diving, Dodgeball, Flag Football, Golf, Indoor Rowing, Kickball, Pickleball, Rodeo University, Soccer, Softball, Swimming, Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, Volleyball (Indoor), Volleyball (Sand), and Wrestling & Grappling.
Each January during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend, the festival kicks off with Friday afternoon’s Cornhole for Charity event, which benefits the Ken Scearce Scholarship Fund. That’s followed by the Opening Night Registration Party held at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Competitions and nightly social events then take place around the city, with the weekend culminating in the Closing Party. This year’s Closing Party takes place at the LINQ Promenade’s Brooklyn Bowl.
GLASA created the Sin City Classic in 2008 as an LGBTQ+ softball tournament meant to provide a safe and competitive atmosphere for LGBTQ+ athletes. Over the past 17 years the tournament has grown to include 24 sports and approximately 10,000 athletes and fans. GLASA remains committed to creating the best experience possible for the diverse roster of dedicated athletes who participate and the fans and allies to come to enjoy the festival.
The Sin City Classic is proudly hosted at the Flamingo Las Vegas. Additional sponsors include presenting sponsor, Lexus, as well as Caesar’s Entertainment, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, AIDS Healthcare Foundation, Q Care+, mistr, Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority, ViiV Healthcare, uberlube, GayVN, and Piranha Nightclub.
