Overview of Rules: 11:30am-12:00pm
Championships (Top 4 Teams): 7:00-8:00pm
The winners and losers bracket finals will be played during the Sin City Classic Registration Party.
Registration is $50 per team of two for the double elimination tournament. The top three winning teams will receive medals and bragging rights for the year.
■ The first 32 teams to register will be in the tournament.
■ Any additional teams wishing to participate will be put on a wait list.
■ All registered teams must sign in by 11:30am the morning of the event to guarantee their slot.
■ If a team has not signed in, the next available team on the wait list will be assigned to the slot.
Method of Scoring – Cancellation Scoring:
In cancellation scoring, the points of one team cancel out the points of their opponent. Using this method, only one team can score in each frame. For example, if Team A scores 9 points at the top of the round and Team B scores 5 points at the bottom of the round, the 5 points get cancelled leaving Team A with 4 points for that round.
Overview of Team Play:
■ Team A competes against Team B – each team is comprised of two (2) people.
■ Each team will stay in their designated lane for the whole game.
■ Players at the headboard will alternate pitching bags until each player has pitched all (4) of his/her bags.
■ Players at the footboard will take score and resume pitching back to the other cornhole board.
A coin-toss is used to determine which team selects one of the following options:
1. Choose the lane assignments
Lane 1: Designated pitcher’s boxes, on the left side of the board when facing your opponent.
Lane 2: Designated pitcher’s boxes, on the right side of the board when facing your opponent.
2. Choose their opponent to pitch against (Head-to-Head)
If option #1 is selected, the coin toss winner chooses their lane and takes their positions in the Pitcher’s boxes, then the opposing team chooses their own Pitcher’s boxes to determine head-to-head match-ups.
If option #2 is selected, the coin toss loser chooses their lane and takes their positions in the Pitcher’s boxes, then the coin toss winner will choose their own Pitcher’s boxes to determine head-to-head match-ups.
Additional rules will be provided at the tournament.
